After the last major Steam update in August (many users left angry comments), all my settings were updated and all server history (serverbrowser_hist.vdf) was deleted. I was angry and decided to find a way to disable this forever. I managed.
Now this reptile loads in 10 seconds and not in 10 minutes, and of course it cannot do anything with my settings.

This solution to block Steam updates for ever !

15 years ago when I was at university I played CS on the processor 80486, 512 ram, S3VGA 16mb and everything "flew" very quickly. Now on my old laptop intel7th 3600, 16mb ram, Nvidia 940m 2mb, I was forced to set the value high priority for hl.exe in the registry to get rid of lags.
Steam is always updating ... Tired!
The last big update in August 2019 deleted my server history (but I have to admit that this snake left a copy of serverbrowser_hist.vdf.old) but ALL of my Steam and set launch settings were also deleted. I became angry with the STEAM snake.
I searched the Internet for answers, but unfortunately I didn't find them.
Therefore, I decided it myself. 2 of my decisions in this short video.
p.s. Steam has been blocked since September 2019, everything is stable. Today, in the process of creation, I gave the opportunity to renew this snake myself.
